Myrtle Beach Updates the Fleet

Myrtle Beach Police Department's Beach Patrol

(Myrtle Beach, S.C.) – 04/30/2023 – The most iconic two tone graphics package in the State of South Carolina is officially going away. Like most agencies across the Palmetto State, the Myrtle Beach Police Department has begun the process of transitioning its fleet away from the baby blue in favor of solid white cruisers. However, the decals themselves will continue to remain the same for the foreseeable future. The first cruisers to dawn the all white package are a batch of Ford Utility Police Interceptor Utility’s upfit by West Chatham in Savannah, Georgia. Since being introduced, they have been joined by a handful of Ford Rangers and Chevrolet Colorado Pick-Ups assigned to the agency’s Beach Patrol.

Myrtle Beach offers an incredibly diverse footprint comprised of its sprawling beaches, busy roadways, suburbs, and of course, the constant flow of tourism that makes this one of South Carolinas most popular vacation spots. As the region continues to grow, the department is actively seeking candidates for the position of Police Officer to keep this agency in the Grand Strand portion of the state fully staffed.
