York County Sheriff’s Detective Succumbs To Injuries

(Rock Hill, South Carolina) – 1/20/2018 – It is with a heavy heart that the SCPoliceCruisers Team announces the passing of Detective Mike Doty with the York County Sheriff’s Office. Detective Doty passed away on 1/17/2018 after an ambush shooting during a S.W.A.T. and K-9 call out. Detective Doty leaves behind a mourning Dept. and family. The SCP Team sends our thoughts, prayers, and condolences to Det. Doty’s family and friends during this time. Det Doty’s legacy and friendship has been felt by many and he has evidently impacted numerous people both in his community and this state. Rest easy sir.

We would like to also extend our thoughts and prayers to Sgt Clinton, Sgt Brown and Sgt Cummings who are recovering from injuries sustained during the same incident.
