Timmonsville Police Department Acquires 2018 Dodge Charger

(Timmonsville, S.C.) – 12/16/2017 – Under the leadership of Chief Brown, the Timmonsville Police Department has recently acquired 2 brand new 2018 Dodge Chargers. These latest fleet acquisitions mark the first time in over 10 years that the department has purchased new vehicles. Prior to the agency being disbanded in 2012, the Timmonsville Police Department operated a fleet of black and white Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptors as marked patrol vehicles.

In 2013, the Timmonsville Police Department regained its status as a full-time police department. Over-time the agency gradually shifted its fleet to unmarked units. Several administrations later, and the agency has once again introduced marked cruisers as the backbone of its fleet. The new Dodge Charger Police Pursuit Vehicles feature a bold new design that proudly displays the agency’s name and badge. The graphics package, which was designed and applied by Stripe-It, LLC in Florence, also prominently displays the words “All Lives Matter” on the rear of the cruisers. These are the only vehicles in the State of South Carolina to boldly feature that unique design element. The cruisers themselves were upfit by Dana Public Safety in Columbia. These vehicles include a fully dual color lighting package featuring the CODE3 21TR lightbar with torus LED technology for improved officer safety. Additional LEDs were installed under the mirrors, and adjacent to the license plate as secondary warning lights.
