SCP Visits Vermont
(Burlington, VT) – 7/4/2023 – The SCPoliceCruisers Team has officially made its inaugural visit to Vermont, the Green Mountain State. Vermont is reknowned for its breathtaking scenery, crisp air, commitment to sustainability, and picturesque communities. To-date, it’s the furthest North that our team has ventured, and officially becomes the 10th state we’ve visited to conduct our signature photoshoots. Our journey began by contacting the Vermont State Police, Vermont DMV Law Enforcement, Burlington Police Department, and Franklin County Sheriff’s Office. We selected these agencies specifically because they each offered something unique from what we typically see in South Carolina.
For starters, Vermont DMV Law Enforcement not only has a striking graphics package, but also performs the same motor carrier enforcement as our very own South Carolina State Transport Police (STP). The only difference is that the agency specifically falls under the Vermont Department of Motor Vehicles whereas STP operates under the South Carolina Department of Public Safety. To support its mission, the agency operates a mixed fleet of Ford F-150 First Responders, Chevrolet Silverado 2500’s and the Harley-Davidson Live Wire electric motorbike.
Burlington, Vermont, has the distinction of being the states largest municipality. Though the agency operates a more traditional black & white scheme, it does a beautiful job of incorporating the city skyline into the agency’s imagery. This can be seen on its patches, badge, and more interestingly its 2017 Ford F-550 Emergency Response Vehicle in the form of a vehicle wrap.
Our travels primarily kept us on the West end of Vermont as we hovered around the Chittendon and Franklin County portions of the state. As we ventured North towards St. Albans, we knew that we absolutely had to coordinate a photoshoot with the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office. A few years ago, the agency transitioned to a sleeker, more modern, and in our humble opinion eye catching graphics package. At first, you’re probably thinking, wait… that design looks like what you’d see from a lot of agencies in the Spartanburg County portion of South Carolina. Well, you’re not wrong! The primary difference is the addition of a matte green hood wrap that accentuates the overall design. We’ve been told that the hood wrap has faced little to no issues from sun damage, while also making it easier for the general public to identify the agency’s cruisers while they are patrolling the community.

In 2011, we embarked on our journey to showcase law enforcement agencies across the Palmetto State. It’s been an incredible ride, and we couldn’t be more thankful for the overwhelming support we’ve received. As we continue to grow and venture out across the country, we’re appreciative of the hospitality and access we continue to receive. The agencies in Vermont were no exception and we can’t wait to go back to visit more of this beautiful state! In the meantime, be sure to click here to view more photos from our trip.
